We Can Do Mitzvos from Aleph to Tav
For Jewish pre-schoolers, two basic building-blocks of learning are the Hebrew alphabet and the concept of a mitzvah (commandment), and both come together to great effect in the enchanting text We Can Do Mitzvos From Aleph to Tav.
Every colorful page introduces a new letter, bright and bold, along with a mitzvah which begins with that letter – be it visiting the sick, acts of kindness, having manners, keeping clean, hosting guests, giving charity, and more.
Endearing, evocative illustrations combine with simple text to offer youngsters a lively introduction – not only to the Hebrew alphabet – but to a rich array of noble, uplifting concepts that show children what Jewish living is all about.

- A perfect choice for a young childThis book is the quintessential Alef Bais book. The ideas chosen for each letter are age appropriate and familiar to the youngsters, and the rhyme flows smoothly for the adult reader. The pictures are simple, attractive and full of "chein". Our copy of the book, purchased just weeks ago, has been read many times both to and "by" our four year old daughter. Enjoy!

- Excellent ToolI read this book with my five year old every night and I can really see her learning the Aleph Bais sounds. She loves listening to the rhymes and examining the illustrations.
A must for teaching Aleph Bais.Posted on
- Zayin is for ZerizusI'd just like to say that my one and a halfyear old loves this book.
In fact this morning my alarm was going off and I had gotten in late from a wedding the night before. And as I hit snooze, putting off getting up for shul , I heard in my head "zayin is for Zerizus to do a mitzvah run" and promptly got up and dragged myself to shul. Shkoyach!
