RABBI MOSHE GOLDSTEIN, shlita, founded Yeshivas Shaarei Yosher in Jerusalem over thirty-five years ago and remains at its helm to this day. With great warmth, far-reaching insight, and an innovative approach, Rav Goldstein has helped thousands of students return to living a renewed and inspired life of Torah and emunah.Rav Goldstein studied at Yeshivas Ponovezh for over a decade and is a disciple of Rav Yechezkel Levenstein, zt"l, who was a pillar of emunah in the post-Holocaust generation. Rav Goldstein is the author of many highly regarded Torah works.

- Best Emunah seferI've read many emunah seforim, but non like this one. I heard the author is a talmid of Reb Chatzkel Levinshtein, the Ponovitz mashgiach.
This book should be taught in yeshiva all over...Posted on
- The BestProbably the best Emunah book on the market.
Real Emunah, no nonsense.
It'll take an effort to read, but if you're serious, it'll undoubtedly change your life. Literally.
VERY recommended for the serious learner.Posted on
- AAThe book is very deep, but well written.
It really deserves 5 stars, but I had a tough time with the high language.
I read it, but you really have to learn it!
Superb.

- An Incredible Sefer for our timeFor the first time, there is an opportunity for the English language reader to obtain a deep and comprehensive understanding of the ‘what and how’ of true Jewish belief and faith. It opens a ‘door’ that will forever change the reader’s understanding and appreciation of terms that always seem so distant and unreal. I really thinks this book is a must for scholars and laymen, yeshiva bochurim and students in seminary, and should be on the bookshelf of every Jewish home. Simply, it opens the ‘portal’ of personal enrichment, meaning and a key to attaining happiness in the face of life’s challenges.
Emunah should have an impact and transform us. However, as a rule, even people of faith are not prepared for change. They seem to think that by remaining ignorant of the fundamentals of emunah, relieves them of the obligation to learn about it, or, more importantly, to act on it. (Often there is the thought: “If I delve into emunah, am I going to interrupt my day-to-day life, my comfort zone? Is my life going to become more austere? Are my happy and carefree moments going to be taken away?”)
However, pause for a moment. The most enervating and inspiring moment every year, at the conclusion of Neila, the shul breaks out in a deafening roar – everyone proclaiming after Shma Yisroel – Hashem Hu HaElokim (Hashem is G-d) seven tines! What is the meaning of the declaration? And what about the posuk – Ata horaisa loda’as … ein od milvado (You have been shown to know that Hashem is G-d, that there is NONE besides Him) – what does that really mean?
There are answers, clear answers, as Rav Goldstein shows. However, as he points out, if you appreciate that you need to put in effort to understand a piece of Gemora or Tosafos, you do need to put in an effort to understand emunah. Then you will see and experience just how rewarding the Emunah Reality can be. It will also be clear that you do not have to downgrade the level of pleasure in your life while you do so.Posted on
- Thank YouAlthough I thought it would be a "happy ever after" emunah sefer, I was BH wrong.
Its a very good book, not the most easy reading, but very much worth it. And the short stories are amazing.
Good solid hashkofa,
It actually took me to a fascinating trip to lean why and how I live.
Thank you
Do you sell it in paperback?Posted on
- YidIn a kiruv seminar, he was once asked what he would do if he found out that he is not Jewish (his mother/.grandmother wasn't Jewish). Others might say they'd try a cheeseburger etc. He had a totally different answer, as follows: 'I would first build a Bama (small mizbe'ach), and be makriv a korban - something only Goyim are allowed to do nowadays, then I'd convert back to Judaism!'
As the author notes, Emuna, and Torah and mitzvos, are like food. If one perceived them as requirements, then; although they are, he doesn't have the proper perspective of what they truly are. Is there a law that suicide is prohibited or that one is required to eat? No such law is necessary! There may be law anyways (perhaps so others can't claim insurance etc.) but no person needs to be told this! If one feels hungry, one knows he has to eat. If one sees a cliff, he stands back (unless he doesn't value his life enough...). Certainly this book will be enlightening.Posted on
- Very goodAlthough there are many emunah seforim out there, I personally enjoyed this one very much, even-though its not easy reading, they did a nice job of explaining deep ideas.
