- A wonderful contribution!I bought this book a month ago and I am very happy with it. It's not very big (in size but the content is pretty extensive) so I carry it around in my purse and when I have a minute here and there I read through it. As someone who has been trying to learn Yiddish for three years this book is a welcome contribution. Besides for the basic words one needs to know for all situations the book is divided into situational categories, such as "going to a restaurant" or "travel reservations" with the appropriate phrases for each category. Even if the phrases are not exactly what you are looking to say they give you an idea of how to use the words in an appropriate and grammatical context. For people who are learning Yiddish this book is a great purchase!
