- OK, I have a lot of siddurim but this has to be one of my favoritesThis siddur has amazing insight. The notes from R' Chaim Kramer provides some of it, but a lot of the gems come from the translation from R' Avraham Sutton.
The translation is not as much literal as it is trying to convey the message of the original text. Some might call it "flowery" but it's good nonetheless. This makes no difference to me, as I do not daven in English. I use the translation to gain a better understanding of what I'm praying.
The Hebrew text has a nice font - I think it's called "Narkisim". It's all more or less the same size throughout the siddur (no size variation).
There are all sorts of great additional tefillos in the back such as Tikkun HaKlali and Sheimos HaTzaddikim. Also, there's Tikkun Chatzos.
THE SIDDUR IS IN NUSACH SEFARD, IE, THE NUSACH OF THE CHASSIDIM. Many people mix up Nusach Sefard and Nusach Edot HaMizrach.
My only complaints are that sheva na is not indicated as in other siddurim (a very minor problem for experienced daveners) and that the siddur is brown, not blue like in the photo.
Cannot wait for the Shabbos siddur to come out so I can grab that one up too. Note that this volume only has the weekday prayers (this is mentioned in the product description).
